Understanding Search
The MA Chatterbox search engine is designed to help you navigate the MA Chatterbox community. Our unique search tools provide maximum accuracy with minimum hassle. The search options tabs work together to enable you to build a precise search and find exactly what you are looking for.
Keyword tab
Enter a keyword or phrase to find exact matches on any MA Chatterbox member’s page.
Targets tab
Use the TARGETS tab if you want to target a specific value for a specific type of information (i.e. City=New York or Relationship Status=Single). A series of dropdown menus will lead you through the three-step process of adding targets to your search. Create additional targets to narrow your search parameters. When you have completed the selection of targets, click the SEARCH button, and your results will be displayed.
Your Search Results page will display additional command links which allow you to refine your search, perform a new search, name and save your search, update an existing saved search, or load an existing saved search. Click the help buttons next to these command links for additional instructions.
View tab
Click the VIEW tab to select which profile information you want to display in your Search Results.
Load tab
Save frequently performed searches for quick loading later. After you submit a KEYWORD or TARGETS search, you will have the option to save the Search parameters. All saved searches appear under the LOAD tab. To load and execute a saved search, simply click the saved search you want, click the Search button, and you'll receive updated Search results.
Click the REFINE RESULTS button to refine a TARGETS search by adding additional targets. When you are finished, click the SEARCH button.
Click the NEW SEARCH button to begin an entirely new search. Your previous Search Results will be purged unless you save the search.
Click the LOAD SEARCH button to open the LOAD tab. Select the saved search you want to load, then click the SEARCH button to display results.
Save your Search Results by clicking the SAVE AS NEW button. A Save Entry box will appear at the top of the Search Results page. Enter the SEARCH NAME in the blank field, then click the SAVE button. The saved Search Name will appear in the LOAD tab.
Click the SAVE SEARCH button to save changes to an existing saved search. A Save Entry box will appear at the top of the Search Results page. You have the option of changing the Search Name, or of updating the Search Targets.
